Download the Pocket PC* Software Guitar

Each of these downloads consists of a single .exe file. Simply download to your main computer, connect your PocketPC, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the install instructions.

Note: PocketAxe creates a directory "\My Documents\PocketAxe" on your Pocket PC. It stores chord information in this directory. There are a lot of files but they are small.

Download the PocketAxe Guitar here. This includes both the demo version of the program and the full version with multiple chords, multiple sounds, piano and drums when it is unlocked.

Download the PocketAxe Pocket Lead Guitar instruments here. These instruments are intended for playing the individual notes of a melody. The download consists of a set of fake "chords" that are like a capo or barre at each fret. Then there are two instruments, lead0 and lead1 that each organize the fake chords to look like 20 frets on a guitar. Only 5 frets can be seen at a time. The hardware buttons are used to switch between banks of frets. The lead0 instrument starts at the first, E, fret and the lead1 instrument starts at C. These instruments can be loaded into PocketAxe only if you have unlocked PocketAxe with a key.

Download the PocketAxe Pocket Base Guitar here. This includes the standard 4 string layout, extra .WAV sounds, chords and basslead0 and basslead1 which work in the same manner as the PocketAxe Pocket Lead Guitar above. This can be loaded into PocketAxe only if you have unlocked PocketAxe with a key.

gac1-16b-44k (Acoustic guitar, 16bits, 44,100 hertz)

This is a higher quality sound, but takes 3MB of space in storage and 12MB when PocketAxe is running. (To check if you have enough memory to use this sound: On your PDA device go to menu item Start/Settings/System/Memory. Look at the Free amount in the Program section. The amount should be at least 15 MB.) This will overwrite any existing sound with the gac1 prefix. This can be loaded into PocketAxe only if you have unlocked PocketAxe with a key.

gac1-8b-22k (Acoustic guitar, 8bits, 22,050 hertz)

This is a copy of the original (lower quality) sound distributed with PocketAxe. It is useful only if you have loaded the higher quality (much larger) sound and want to revert to the original. This will overwrite any existing sound with the "gac1" prefix. This can be loaded into PocketAxe only if you have unlocked PocketAxe with a key.
